Later, closer to 11:00 AM ET, X Support managed to secure the EigenLayer X account, and full access was attempted to be regained. Following an in-depth investigation into internal tools, devices, and logs of various activities, EigenLayer reported no signs of suspicious activities or evidence of breaches in their systems or users. The installed security measures, including passkey 2FA, delegated access controls, and additional protective measures to that effect, also showed no signs of compromise. As the EigenLayer X account restoration went on, the team assured users that updates would be availed as more information was available. Unauthorized Token Sales Linked to Previous Hack The latest incident is the second investigation having to do with unauthorized selling activity using an Ethereum wallet address that ends with “f10D.” The wallet had transferred approximately 1.6 million EIGEN tokens, estimated to be about $5.7 million.
